Deadline Approaches for Forman Acton Foundation’s 2023 College Deposit Program

To the Class of 2023 & the Salem City Community:

National College Decision Day, the deadline many colleges and universities set for accepted students to confirm their attendance, is right around the corner on May 1. As you mark this milestone in your academic career, we are pleased to once again offer our College Deposit Program in support of you and your classmates.

Typically, colleges and universities require you to make an initial deposit as part of the confirmation process. Our College Deposit Program will provide you with the required funds for that first payment due this spring. This opportunity is available to only those high school seniors who are graduating in June 2023, live in or attend public school in Salem City, and are enrolled in our Acorn Fund college savings account program. If you have not yet enrolled in the Acorn Fund, there is still time to do so in order to take advantage of this opportunity. Visit https://www.formanscholars.org/acorn-fund or contact Jasmin McMillon, our Acorn Fund Enrollment Manager, at jasmin@formanscholars.org to learn more.

If you are interested in requesting funds from our College Deposit Program, you must complete an online application, the link to which will be provided by your school’s administrator. The deadline to request funds is April 24, which guarantees the deposits will be delivered and processed by National College Decision Day on May 1. If you have any questions about this opportunity, contact your school’s administrator or Kortney Swanson Davis, our Chief Operating Officer, at kortney@formanscholars.org.

We know the start of the college journey can be met with feelings of both excitement and anxiety, so we hope this assistance provides some measure of relief as you embark upon this next chapter of your life. We wish you the best of luck as your senior year of high school draws to a close, and we look forward to celebrating your graduation in June.
